Pizza Pizzaaa~!


Dunno what else to cook for dinner sebab dah boring dok makan nasik/mee goreng jer tiap2 hari, so tuka la plak selera buat pizza. I went browsing tru the net for interesting pizza recipes and came accross this page yg has quite a few pizza recipes; including the crust. Last time I did my pizza using the Olive Oil Pizza Crust ( kat Japan, kat supermarket mainly jual 2 jenis tepung; satu utk buat roti and satu lagi utk buat cake or kuih-muih and for the olive oil crust, I usually mix both 1:1 ) The olive oil Pizza crust is actually less the hassle and sgt2 crispy and usually ppl will roll the crust really thin and bakar dulu dlm oven for 5 mins before putting on the toppings.

But today, I used Cornmeal Pizza Crust instead sbb kononnya nak try buat pizza cam kat Domino's tu And my mistake, terletak cornmeal byk sgt..the crust didn't rise that much ( and I guess sbb I did the pizza besar sgt kot ) The crust didn't turn out to be that great;but still, edible..and I think the next time I make these kinda crust, I'll DEFINITELY won't put too much cornmeal in the dough. Nway, here's the recipe :


Yeast Mixture:
1 package active dry yeast
1/4 cup tepid water (under 110ºF) ( air suam )
1/8 teaspoon sugar

1 tablespoon nonfat dry milk
1/4 cup water

Dry Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1/3 cup cornmeal ( I might just lessen the amount juct a wee bit the nx time )
1/4 teaspoon salt

How to make:

1. Mix yeast mixture and proof for a few minutes until bubbly.
2. Whisk dry milk and 1/4 cup water into yeast mixture.
3. Stir in dry ingredients.
4. Mix, knead, let rise until doubled. Pat down and fold in thirds, let rise again until more than doubled.
5. Gently shape.

ps: Tepid water is a mixture of two parts cold water to one part boiling water and is frequently used in breadmaking

As for the sauce:

1 clove garlic
3 tbsp. olive or salad oil
2 lg. onions, sliced
1/2 cup tomato paste/puree
1/2 cup Italian style tomatoes/ whole tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon sugar
2 slices cheddar cheese ( or any other cheese would do just fine )

How to make:
1. Saute garlic & onion in olive oil until fragrant.
2. Add in the tomatoes; puree, whole & sauce.
3. Add in dry oregano, salt, pepper & sugar.
4. Add in slice cheese and mix well. Place in a clean bowl to cool off. ( Jangan guna sauce nya panas2 or your pizza crust will get REALLY SOGGY and takes muchhh more time to cook - trust me on this..I had my share of really soggy pizzas once upon a time )

And as for the toppings, as you can see in the picture, I used sliced tomatoes, green capsicum, avocado, mini asparagus, corn mixed in tuna and mayonaise, hotdogs and mix cheese ( cause tak mampu nak boli mozzerella cheese ) and some sweet basil leaves ( fresh ones ) just to give the pizza a veryy Italian smell to it Nyummmmmmmm~ Evenmore, semlm Zairul's parents sent him some stuff from Malaysia and ada Cordial Sunkist dlm tu ..wuhuuuu..air oren and hot-from-the-oven pizza! No words to describe it ppl!
