Chocolate Velvet Ice Cream

As promised in my 'Sambal Ayam' entry, here's another edition of my homemade ice cream series Again, being the lazy-me I've always been, I browsed for a simple, and I mean SIMPLE chocolate ice cream recipe and came across this one:



Chocolate Velvet Ice Cream

btw, I had headaches makan ice cream flavor pelik2..kekkee..i think it's just me kot

Here's the recipe btw:

Ingredients
130 g white sugar
30 g unsweetened cocoa powder
3 egg yolks, beaten
630 ml heavy cream
*55 g semisweet chocolate chips

How to make:
1. In a bowl, mix together white sugar, egg yolk and cocoa powder.
2. Gradually add the cream in small portions, mixing well after each addition.
3. Chill in refrigerator.
4. *Crush the chocolate chips in a food processor and mix into the chocolate ice cream halfway through the chilling process. You can also add crush nuts.

I made the tuiles from mama's fp again..sbb tarak ice cream cone kat umah. Again, used crushed walnuts as toppings sbb tade kacang lain dah kat umah gak


The batch I made dah selamat abes dah..Zairul ate most of it. Dia kata mcm ice cream kat kedai So i guess mmg sedap la kot recipe ni..and not to forget..EASY!

But because of the recipe calling for raw eggyolk as one of the ingredients, the person who submitted this recipe said that pregnant women, very young children, and the elderly should avoid eating this ice cream tp ikutla kan..if you think perut tu kebal, maka BEDAL sajalahhh

rossya >> unfortunately here K.Rossya, a tub of ice cream is wayyy expensive plus tak byk choice ( not like malaysia ) dorg byk jual individual ice cream cones instead. Btw, sini pon heavy cream mahal gak, so I just use the cheapest whip cream ( light cream ) which is about 100yen=RM3 for a 200ml size.

emly you ni sama mcm zairul..dia pon hantu ice cream gak. but he prefers ice cream yg tak heavy sgt..tp yg ni dia suka la heavy cream ni is a kind of whipping cream yg kandungan fat dia is around 36 to 40%..selalunya ada je jual kat supermarket but maybe mahal kot. I usually use the cheapest whipping cream yg ada and it still taste good tp jgn beli whipped cream plak yer..yg itu whipping cream yg dah di whip kan, so dia dah jd fluffy..beli yg masih dlm bentuk liquid
